Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! January finds us ending another blessed year of ministry and looking forward to what the Lord has for us in the new year. The coming summer calendar is full with many returning old friends and a couple of new groups whom we are looking forward to serving and getting to know. We are also happy to report that work on the final phase of construction on Clark Lodge is progressing quickly and on schedule. The plumbing, electrical and mechanical top outs were finished and passed inspection in the early winter while the insulation and drywall were finished at the first of the new year. Painting has already begun in the camp store, the Soldier Mountain Cafe' and the Game Room on the main floor as well as the Loft Reading Room.
The next phase of work on Clark Lodge will be finishing the painting on all three floors, hanging doors, staining and installing trim, etc. and we are actively recruiting volunteers to help us with these tasks. If anyone has a heart for the ministry of Quaker Ridge and a desire to serve, please contact us to be scheduled in as the work progresses. As the old saying goes in the construction industry: " 90% of the work is done and now we need to finish the remaining 90% of the work!" so please help us as we finish strong and on target for a completion date of May 2011.
The search for a full time Head Wrangler to take over the horse program continues with the long list of candidates now narrowed down to the top 4 finalists. Please pray with us as the process comes to a conculsion that the Lord's will be done and His perfect plan be brought to fruition.
We pray God's blessing on all of you for 2011 and thank Him for your faithfulness in 2010.
