Welcome to a new year! 2009 was a year of overflowing blessings as well as some difficult lessons learned. But the Lord does not give us more than we can bear, and we count it all joy when tested by trials and rejoice in His name for the abundance He pours down on us. The final phase of construction on our Clark Lodge has slowed down as we are working with Teller County to confirm that the existing structure meets code requirements. Once this is complete, we will then be able to finish what started as a vision for QRC in 1994. Please be praying with us as we work with the officials, that the process will go quickly and smoothly. Framing and roughed in plumbing is up in the new "Game Room" and Cafe' spaces, the basement slab has been cut and jack hammered away to install the drain lines in their correct locations and the new "code friendly" "Mine Shaft" lower hallway has been demoed for its new look.
2010 is looking to be an exciting time here at Quaker Ridge Camp and we praise God and give Him all the glory!
