Larry Money
"...choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15

Larry was born and raised in Michigan where he spent his youth camping, canoeing, fishing and exploring the back country on his dirt bike. Early on he discovered a passion for music, and especially the drums, and so pursued that as a career path. He spent 20 years travelling around North America playing professionally until meeting his wife, Melody, and settling down in Florida. It was then that Larry discovered horses and a desire to work with them. He worked a variety of jobs at various stables for a number of years, learning the ins and outs of caring for large numbers of livestock. These jobs included a cutting horse ranch, a hunter/jumper show barn and a dressage boarding and training stables as well as transporting polo horses between South Florida and Aspen, Colorado during the various playing seasons.
Larry and Melody were married in 1994 and after an extended honeymoon in the Colorado and Canadian Rockies, they both began to feel the Lord calling them to youth ministry. After 6 years of preparation and education in horsemanship, youth ministry and building faithfulness, the Lord opened the doors for them to come to Quaker Ridge Camp in 2000 where Larry began as the Head Wrangler. In 2007, he was asked to assume the Executive Director’s position, though he has not quite managed to hang up his Stetson just yet.
Larry and Melody thoroughly enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that life in the Colorado Rockies offers, spending their free time exploring the trails on horseback, camping, fishing and hunting together.
